To prepare for the implementation Agribusiness Support for Promotion and Investment in Regional Expositions (ASPIRE), the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division of the Department of Agriculture-MIMAROPA recently had a consultation workshop with the AMADs of the different regional offices and Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Services (AMAS) of the central office.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) MiMaRoPa Region’s corn sector was once again hailed as Hall of Famer and was given due recognition during the 5th National Quality Corn Achievers Awards (NQCAA) on November 23, 2017.

SAN JOSE, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO - In pursuance with the goal, Rabies Free MIMAROPA by 2020, the Department of Agriculture (DA) MIMAROPA Livestock team spearheaded a training workshop on Animal Rabies Prevention and Control. This training aims to prepare the Local Government of Occidental Mindoro for their battle against rabies. The workshop happened last November 27-29 at the Sikatuna Beach Hotel wherein 75 participants from the different LGUs of Occidental Mindoro and students from Occidental Mindoro State College Murtha Campus attended. Aside from DA, the Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) also assisted and partake knowledge about rabies.

In order to help farmers in marketing of their agricultural (crops, livestock and poultry) and fishery products, increase their income, and to provide affordable foods for consumers, the Sablayan Food Terminal and Trading Center (SFTTC) opened last November 29, 2017.
