Ang Rice Program ng DA-MiMaRoPa Region ay kasalukuyang nagsasagawa ngayon ng Technical Briefing ukol sa programang "Rice Model Farm". Nagkaroon ng mga magkakasunod na technical briefing simula noong ika-19 hanggang sa ika-21 ng Abril sa bayan ng Narra, Brooke's Point, at Rizal ng Palawan.

Pinangunahan ang nasabing briefing ng Regional Rice Focal Person na si Ma.Theresa Aguilar, katulong ang mga Provincial Rice Coordinator na sina Ronald Degala at Marissa Vargas. Kasama rin dito ang National Rice Consultant na si Dr. Santiago Obien.

An Animal Health Mission and Consultation meeting with the Local Government Units (LGU) of Busuanga, Coron and Culion, Palawan happened last April 4-6, 2017 at the Coron Village Lodge. The Department of Agriculture MiMaRoPa Livestock Team spearheaded the event.

Department of Agriculture – MiMaRoPa Region, conducted the Training on Mushroom production and processing at DA-Palawan Research Experiment Station (PRES) last March 30-31, 2017.

The said training was participated by the different municipalities of Palawan namely: Narra, Sofronio Española, Brookes’s Point, Taytay, Dumaran, and Araceli. Likewise, participants from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Puerto Princesa City also participated during the training.

Six (6) batches of Technical Briefings on Corn Production with Emphasis on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) were conducted in Marinduque. It was held in all municipalities of the province from March 22 to 30, 2017.

After 16 weeks of training on Farmers Field School (FFS), 118 corn farmers from Mogpog, Boac, Sta. Cruz and Torrijos were gathered together for the Mass Graduation of FFS on Corn Production cum Integrated Pest Management (IPM) last March 31, 2017 at PDRRMO Building, Capitol Compound, Boac, Marinduque.
