Seed Growers      

What are the Requirements?

Applicant must be an individual farmer or member of a cooperative/association

Individual inbred seed grower must be:

Graduate of five (5) days inbred Rice Seed Production and certificate training course conducted by ATI, BPI, PhilRice and DA-RFOs

Willing to undergo three (3) days retooling course (in coordination with BPI) at applicant’s expense every three (3) years before renewal of accreditation.

Seed Grower Cooperative/Association must:

Be a duly registered with CDA/SEC

Have members who finished five (5) days Inbred Rice Seed Production and Certification Training Course coordinated with BPI

Require its designated members to undergo a three-day retooling course with BPI every three (3) years before renewal of accreditation at the coop’s own expense

8. Certificate of Disease Free Planting Material from BPI for citrus, banana and abaca 

9. Certificate of Attendance for training 

10. O.R. of purchased NSIC-registered mother plants and Certification from the source of the propagules used for propagation 

11. Inventory of mother trees (NSIC-registered varieties) planted in the established scion grove/bud wood and seed garden with corresponding certification from source 

12. List of identified sources of propagative materials (scion and bud sticks) used in asexual propagation indicating the quantities, location, & the name of the owner (institution and others) 

13. O.R. of Plant Nursery Accreditation fee of 1,000.00/commodity/site applied
