Ms. Amelia Gresones (2nd left) of the Brgy. Isaub, Aborlan, Palawan was declared winner at the recent awarding ceremony held at the BSWM Convention Hall, Diliman, Quezon City on October 12, 2010. Ms. Gresones has inspired women and men alike by uplifting the status of rice farming in their community as well as sharing innovative approaches in veggie farming while constantly protecting the environment. She received a total cash prize amounting P70,000.00, plus an open source water pump with an equivalent value of P55,000.00 from DA RFU 4-B. Ms. Gresones will be nominated for the Women’s World Summit Foundation Prize for Women Creativity in Rural Life in Geneva, Switzerland in March 2011.
